Elliott has been playing the piano and singing since he was knee high to a grasshopper. He studied music at Exeter University and also has a performing diploma from ABRSM on piano. Elliott has been gigging since the age of 16 and also plays regularly with The Fabulous Lounge Swingers. Elliott is in demand as a session player and teaches piano and guitar at several schools in London and the Midlands.
Richard is a performer, arranger and composer. His recent work includes writing the music for a yoga documentary and a feature film and performance and composition for The Young Vic, the Soho Theatre and the Steam Industry Theatre company. Richard completed a PhD in composition from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2012 and is an active event organiser in London, also performing regularly in bands as a pianist, guitarist and bass guitarist.
Tek is a guitar/mandolin/saz player and songwriter from London. He began playing the guitar from the age of 10 and later studied music at Goldsmiths University and London Music School. Tek currently plays in various bands across London and is passionate about all music genres from across the world. He also works for a successful fitness company based in the City that specialises in personal training, although this hasn't helped keep Richard in shape!
The workhorse of the band…Jasper keeps the band in check on the drums. He undertakes a lot of session work, playing with a whole variety of jazz, funk and pop acts in and around London and the UK, including at venues such as Ronnie Scotts, The 606 Club and the Canary Wharf jazz festival. Jasper has been playing drums since an early age, perfecting his skill over the years so that he never misses a beat!
Mike is the sax player and a DJ. He first learnt the clarinet before turning his hand to sax. Mike studied music at Nottingham University and gained a performance scholarship for his final recital. Since graduating, Mike moved to London where he now works as a composer and recording session musician, whilst also playing in several original/function bands.
The real hero behind the scenes…Mark is the sound guru of the band. Not only does he make sure the guys sound great on the night, he often covers on bass when Richard can’t make a gig. Passionate about getting a great sound and the world of bass guitar, Mark is a key element to the success of the band and you’ll see him dotted around the venue controlling everything with his ipad!
